I have some strange issues myself atm. Not sure if it helps you, but it may be an alternative to reinstall/RMA or restarting a career.
Got rid of one error by dismissing my hired flight crew. The error appeared after clicking the OP button. It is worth to mention that I imported scenery without deactivating WideFS prior to the import. I think this is what caused the error. After doing the import properly the error still remained. Then I thought to myself: Before and while I was doing all this the hired flight crew was assigned to still active jobs, not completed jobs in other words. So I suspect that this was causing un-handled exceptions in some way.
I un-assigned all jobs - and deleted/cancelled them. Never mind the negative score as long as the issue went away, was my mindset.
Long story short. After cancellation of the assigned jobs the issue was still there. But As I have experienced before when deleting jobs etc. Active jobs might get an error since the AI is in flight or unloading cargo etc. - Hence the dismissing of all crew members. Imported scenery properly and reactivated WideFS. Clicked the OP button with NO errors. I did however get an error msg on the importing, at the end of import. But I ignored that message since I saw the airfields added actually was shown on the map.
But now another exception popped up - but that is another story - and is still un-resolved. I have not made any test flights yet to confirm that the main issue has actually dissipated.
( Issue appeared not when pressing OP button this time, but when entering the job center for the first time after program launch. - And the error message mentioned something about ESSK(an airfield in Sweden) not being correct.(I regret I did not copy that msg))
I apologize for the walk around the bend, but I hope it helps. After all, it might just be a crew member holding you back.
